About the Teacher:

I have been teaching for eighteen years and this is my fourteenth year teaching at EIS. I am the mother of three beautiful children who keep me very busy. Spanish is my second language; speaking, writing, and reading fluently. I earned a B.A. degree in Liberal Studies from Cal State University Fullerton, a Master's degree in Education from Walden University, and hold a California Clear Credential. I have been a cheer squad advisor/ coach for five years and drill team advisor/coach for one year. And currently I am the ASB advisor here at EIS. This is my twelfth year teaching ASB.

I enjoy spending time with my family, dancing, reading a great book, and traveling to new places. My favorites: the color blue, chocolate ice-cream, college football - USC, NFL - Raiders, baseball-Dodgers, cheeseburgers from In-n-Out, music, Peanut M&M's, Starbucks, Pepsi, Olive Garden, Chili's, shopping - Target, Forever 21, Macy's, TJ Maxx, going to the gym, and time alone.

This summer I was able to spend a lot of time with family and friends. I took a trip to the east coast, Washington D.C. and New York, with my youngest daughter in May. I also went to Portland in July. We did take local small trips to San Diego, Las Vegas, Palm Springs, and to the beach. We did many little day trip adventures, as well as following the World Cup. Family time, for me, is the best whether it was having a BBQ at home, watching a movie, or just playing a board game.

Mission Label:

Aim high and strive even higher!!!!! Don't be afraid to succeed!!

I challenge all of my students to follow this class motto the entire year. We will work hard in everything we do. We will not give up - we will be persistent, determined, and optimistic.
